| Tenerife | top |

Tenerife is one of the largest of the main Canary Islands , Gran Canaria, Fuertevenutra and Lanzarote. Tenerife has two main areas which are used by tourists, Tenerife South and Tenerife North.
Each area has an airport, the North is called the North Rodeos airport and the more popular for international flights is the Reina Sofia airport in the South.
Tenerife is of course a volcanic island with mainly black sands and very warm weather all year round. Tenerife is famous for its volcano called Mount Teide which stands at over 3,000 m above sea level.
Tenerife South is the most popular with tourists with the North having more rainfall during the Winter months, however of course in the North you will also find some of the most beautiful unspoilt restaurants and scenary. Most tourists stay in the south of Tenerife and rarely venture to the north or even the capital Santa Cruz.
This gives many Tourists the impression of over developed tourist resorts and a sparse environment. Taking an excursion to either the capital of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Puerto del a Cruz or Mount Teide will show tourists a very different beautiful side to Tenerife. There are flowers and fauna in Tenerife which simply do not grow anywhere else in the world. The new Tenerife symphony hall is also worth visting.
Starting every February and lasting for a month is Carnival time, many people do not realise that in February the second largest carnival in the world second only to the Rio carnival is held in Santa Cruz.
For those wanting something a bit different Tenerife is now offering Rural Tourism through a network of small family run lodgings.

| La Palma | top |

At the northwest of the Canaries archipelago, a few hundred miles from the coast of north-west Africa, lies the island of La Palma, also known as La Isla Bonita, because of its extraordinary natural beauty.
La Palma is one of the smaller of the Canary islands, with a surface area of 706 square kilometres and a population of only 80,000. It is unusual in that it rises exceptionally steeply from the ocean, the entire central mountain range exceeding 2000 m in altitude. The highest point on the island is the Roque de los Muchachos (2426 m), the location of the astronomical observatory

| Cape Verde | top |

The Cape Verde Islands represent virgin territory to many considering an overseas home.
Situated due south from the Canaries and recently made more accessible than ever before by new flight routes from Europe.
Under Portuguese rule since the 15th Century, the ten islands and eight islets, which make up this interdependent archipelago are beset with beauty in bountiful proportions.
Now independent, but reliant on their Portuguese and African roots for governmental support, the islands are entering a period of development in response to new tourist interest.
Surrounded by coral reefs, home to hundreds of species of exotic amphibian, the islands have crisp white sand beaches backed with tropical vegetation.
Much of the flora is similar to the Canaries but denser. The Cape Verde islands also sport Dragon trees and every type of palm in abundance. The islands also form an important point for migrating tropical birds flying between Africa and South America.
Activities are available through water sports to pursuits on the rocky volcanic climbs of the islands’ mountainous areas. All areas of the islands are soaked in rich colour and offer an incredible ambience in one of the best climates in the world.

Mexico is a traveller's paradise, crammed with a multitude of opposing identities: desert landscapes, snow-capped volcanoes, ancient ruins, teeming industrialised cities, time-warped colonial towns, glitzy resorts, lonely beaches and a world-beating collection of flora and fauna.
This mix of modern and traditional, the clichéd and the surreal, is the key to Mexico's charm, whether your passion is throwing back margaritas, listening to howler monkeys, surfing the Mexican Pipeline, scrambling over Mayan ruins or expanding your Day of the Dead collection of posable skeletons.

The Costa Blanca, with its wonderful beaches attracts millions of tourists every year. In the north the costa blanca starts with Denia and Javea two wonderful towns at the bottom of a mountain. In the south the costa blanca goes down to Guardamar and Torrevieja.
You can basically travel along the Costa Blanca as the carretera national goes all way alongside the coast. Make sure when you come along these beautiful sometimes small villages looking for Costa Blanca Holiday Homes that you have enough time for a stay
Enlarged view of costa blanca map
There are many attractions alongside the Costa Blanca, some of them specially for tourists like the entertainment park Terra Mitica at Benidorm or the bays of Altea and Calpe. To me the biggest beauty of the Costa Blanca comes from the sea. Its beaches along with its tiny villages give the Costa Blanca its unique attraction.

| Costa de la Luz | top |

The Costa de la Luz (Coast of light) is the western part of the AndalucÃa coastline that faces out to the Atlantic. The sand is finer and a more golden colour than the neighbouring Costa del Sol.
The typical beaches here are more expansive and probably backed by sand dunes and pine trees. This part of the coast has not seen the high-rise hotel development of other areas. The temperatures are slightly milder and the often strong Atlantic winds and waves are favoured by wind surfers and surfboarders alike.

The Costa Brava is on the Northern coast of Catalonia, extending from Portbou to Blanes. Its range of different scenery is a pleasure to see in all its changing diversity as we move along the coast.
Travelling from North to South, we recommend a visit to the magnificent scenery of Cadaqués and the Salvador Dalà house museum at Portlligat; the fortifications at Roses, the Greek and Roman ruins at Empúries, Medes islands (l’Estartit), the mediaeval villages Pals and Peratallada, the botanical gardens at Blanes, Lloret de Mar and Calella de Palafrugell; and, of course, the all of the beaches along the coast.
There are numerous activities linked to the Costa Brava. We recommend a visit to Dalà Museum at Figueres and the Cinema Museum at Girona together with a strool round the Old Town, the Jewish Quarter and the cathedral in Girona.

| Costa de Almeria | top |

The Costa Almeria is as varied as any of the Spanish Coasts. The coast is completely unspoilt. To the east of Almeria we find the rugged and desolate coast of the Cabo de Gata - Nijar natural park. This is an arid desert landscape and the annual rainfall here is less than 200mm. It is sparsely populated, few villages and a very low population density. Visitors feel a sense of exploration here as many of the coves can only be reached on foot. This area is particularly popular with nature lovers and back-packers. The most popular coastal village is San José.

The Algarve in the south of Portugal is a destination for leisure and excellent holidays: From east to west you can find the best beaches of golden sand and crystal clear “Mediterranean” waters. In the Algarve, you can find the best and most varied golf courses in Europe, which blend perfectly with their environment and provide some great golfing experience. Wining and dining in the Algarve is unforgettable and the fresh fish and seafood which go straight from the sea to the table make our restaurants some of the best in the world. The hot Algarve nights can be packed with entertainment or just spent enjoying the moonlight in an open-air café.
